We are proud to share IPCSA Insights 2024, our annual publication reflecting the achievements and developments that shaped our work over the past year. Together with our members, we continued to emphasise the essential role of Port Community Systems (PCSs) and Single Windows (SWs) in enabling efficient, secure, and sustainable trade. Key highlights include the launch of our Sustainability Working Group, strengthened collaboration with global and regional partners, and the formal adoption of the Port Community Systems Guidelines as IMO Circular FAL.5/Circ.54.
In 2024, IPCSA supported five IMO missions across Africa and the Middle East and remained a trusted partner to institutions such as the World Customs Organization and the European Commission. We co-published a report on Port Call Optimisation with global organisations including IAPH, DCSA, and TIC4.0, and laid the foundation for the IPCSA PCS Masterclass, with four modules completed and more to come in 2025.
This year also marked the start of our unique Foresight Project, exploring future scenarios and the evolving role of PCSs and SWs. In a world facing geopolitical and economic uncertainty, we believe our community remains resilient, forward-looking, and ready to deliver the digital, sustainable transformation global trade demands. Thank you to all IPCSA members for your dedication – we look forward to continuing this journey together in 2025.
